Wow that looks great. Put some neons under there with the amps. How does it sound? How many watts to that sub? How hard was this project and how long did it take you? I would love to do something like this.

Yeah it took 3 days....but the 2 problems that took along time was getting that huge frame in my trunk with the sub i had to like put it in sideway with the sub and keep rotating it and anglein it to get it in....my back hurt real bad after moving that 50 plus pound sub. the second problem i forgot was that my trunk was leaking water from the weather stripping and i had so find the right stuff to seal it.

it sounds great actually cleaner i guess when it is a tight fit there is less to buzzz around when the sound fires.
Eclipse Audio 5443 Head Unit
Focal 6.5 Poly Kevlar Components (Front Stage)
Focal 6.5 Poly Flew Components (Rear Stage)
Eclipse Audio 88150 15 Inch Alluminum Subwoofer
Eclipse Audio 32440 at 4 ohms rated at 85w x 4ch
Eclipse Audio 34230 at 4 ohms rated at 370w x 2ch

That is my set up. I love my amps and sub. Eclipse says the sub can handle 1000 watts max...someone check me on that it has been awhile. But yea i have a neon underbody kit not on the car that i may stick the small tubes in it there . But i am sitll wanting to get the plexi glass and maybe some eclipse declas to lay over each amp. All u need is carpet, staple gun (for carpet) and a jig saw the saw hand saw that moves up and down really fast. IMO i should have used alot thinner wood than mdf for that frame. MDF is way to heavy and at times hard to cut. For your emplate just trace your truck mat on a peice of wood and cut it is pretty easy.

wait, im confused, is that one BIG sheet of MDF (and how thick was it)? or did you cut it in half?

since it was so hard to get in would you do it differently a 2nd time?

and how are you going to access the spare if you need to?

It is one huge sheet. I just put the floor mat on the sheet and cut it out. The box is separate. You had to put one side in line it up with the sub the keep rotating it around to fit in. I didn't want to have 2 peices cause it would ruin the look. If i was doing this again i would make the frame thinner! It is too heavy. Spare tire? hahaha triple A it or walk home hahaha. I figured I haven't had a flat tire yet. So if i ever get a flat 1 day of trouble out or 3 years won't be bad.
