does pioneer premier still hold its own??

hey there, im lookin to replace the 6x9's in my 90 maxima, and altho i used to be really big in the audio scene about 3 years ago, ive since then fell off and dont really know whos makin qaulity stuff and whos garbage. ive found these premiers on ebay.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...095983971&rd=1 tell me what you think about em and i might splurge on the 50 dollars and get them. pretty impressive theyve made a 4 way speaker at a reasonable price like that, and the fac tthat their only rated at 80 watts rms doesnt bug me any becuase i wont be running them with an amp any time soon. thanks for any imput yall have

pioneer/ sony speakers and amps are garbage

if you broke $55 for these speakers is fair
they will be an upgrade from stock speakers, nothing more

if you have more money to spend get something better

try these if you r on the budget, these will sound much better

the premiers are great speakers they are a lot better than plain pioneers. when you spend money on premier they deliver. i have never herd a louder sub than their TS-W1500. check this link out for the pioneer haters.

Word. For $50 those Pioneers are a good deal. But if you can fork over some extra cash, there are lots of better options.

I have never been a fan of the Premier line. Whether it be the speakers, or the head units. Back in the early, middle nineties Pioneer was a middle of the road audio brand. There have been many more brands that have surpassed Pioneer's mediocre audio performance. I have always been one to save, save save money for the higher end brands, than to settle for lesser things just because I had to have something.
