Are you gonna stick with a sealed enclosure?
I'm using a sealed enclosure that I built, but I'm contemplating building a slot port enclosure for my JL sub. I'm running a PPI 5440 5 channel amp & the sub channel is only like 200watts @ 2ohms. So I'm thinking a slot port box will be alittle more efficient with the amount of wattage I'm running. I should gain like 3db with the ported box over the sealed box, but I love the tones my sealed box is creating. I guess I'm alittle worried that even though I might gain more loudness inside the vehicle that I might lose sound quality I have with the sealed box. Maybe you can give me some insight & keep me on the straight & narrow???
