Amp/Sub Problems...
I got 2 10" Pioneer TS-W29C Subwoofers the other day in a box from my friend...I then ordered an amp from an .org member who had a similiar setup, It's an MTX Thunder 102...I was running them bridged but sometimes it would cut out and wouldn't work consistently unless the car was off...I figured it was overheating so I unbridged them and have been running them like that, sounds the same to me...Today on the way home from school it cut out a couple of times...Why is it cutting out this time? I was only driving for maybe 5 minutes...any suggestions?
When it cuts out how much time passes before it comes back on? Or when it cuts out do you have to turn turn the radio off & then back on to get to get sound to come back? I assuming that you are not using the factory HU.
Is the amp mounted down or can it slide around?
Are you sure that there is nothing that wrong with the wiring that would cause the amp to go into protection mode? (ie wires touching eachother etc.)
Why does it sound the same to you bridged or not bridged?
