New speakers to replace stock bose in a 95

i ordered new speakers. pioneers. amping them in a month. i wanna see if i hear a difference between the hu and amp in sq. so is it possible just to hook up the speakers the the factory wiring but before the bose amp. so it would be coming straight from the hu bybassing the amps?

I'm not sure if the HU even has a seperate power supply for the speakers. I think that's why the speakers are amplifed from the factory. I think the HU only supplies signal. I'm not positive though, maybe someone more familiar can help. Until then you can go to the how too's & see the super long write up about the bose stereo system in our car's.

Are you talking of running them off the HU being a bose, or do you already have an aftermarket HU that you are using but are now building on?

You can run them off that head unit. If you do that without amping them you gotta be careful how loud you turn them up and how much bass you play through them because if you turn them up too loud with bass going there will be too much gain (because the speakers are being underpowered) and your speakers will blow.
