Help with rattling trunk.

I've got an annoying rattle in my trunk, actually its my spoiler. I know this, because if I push on the spoiler, the rattling decreases a ton. The spoiler is actually starting to come off the trunk lid. Whats the best way to resecure it? I was just thinking of using some super glue or something, but there has to be a better way.

you can either go to the dealer and spend $3 each on spoiler clips or you can but some silicone at HoeDepot and put in on the surface.

same prob here...would dynamat help if i installed it on the trunk lid itself? and spoiler clips?! what do these look like because mine are held down by 8 screws

D

Goto home depot and buy some expanding foam that stops expanding once it reaches the max of what it's in. I did this to my spoiler and no more rattles out of it. It actually put more weight on the spoiler as if you were holding it down with your hand.

i have two "10's and they hit very hard. My trunk also rattles. I have noticed that there are worn paint spots. I'm going to put some dynomat down on those spots. Check your trunks paint.

Yep same problem here. I was only able to tighten the spoiler to a certian point and it still rattled. I'm thinking about buying some edead v.3 to paint the trunk with. The rattling can only be heard from outside so it's not relly a problem.

hey guys take it from someone who experienced this for a while. I would check the l.e.d. inside the spoiler cause that was my problem. My 10's hit so hard they made the l.e.d. come lose in the spoiler. Since there was no way I could take it apart and fix I opted to be without the l.e.d. part on my spoiler for awhile and it made a world of difference. I also have about 2 or 3 coats of Dynamat extreme right where my spoiler is mounted on my trunk. I dynamatted the entire trunk just for safe measure. Also check your spacers on your spoiler cause they could be worn and need replacement.
