Can you add any CD Changer to the BOSE system?

I read through the FAQ section and saw info about adding an aux input but I couldn't find out what if any aftermarket cd changers can be used with the 2000 bose system and what if any modifications were needed.

Please help me out here.

The only way to add a CD changer to the Bose system is to use a FM modulated changer. There is no input on the back of the Bose system to hook up a changer and be able to use the stock HU as the controller.

I thought Nissan's changer that they sell is hardwired in...Is the 5.5Gen different since it has the in dash changer?

As far as I am aware the only ones that work are the ones nissan sells, but I would love for someone to tell me I am wrong.

I have a 2k1 w/ Bose (w/ CD changer button) and just bought the Nissan CD changer from http://www.nissandealer.com/jerry-ro..._home_page.cgi and installed it in a couple of hours. Works great and the stock radio and steering wheel controls work with the changer!

Website says that it is for 2002 year Max's as well:

Nissan Maxima
2000-2002

I have a 2002 and the CD is messing up. I don't want to relpce with aftermarket, and this looks like a great altrnative solution. Anyone know for sure that this changer works on 5.5?
