Questions on istalling "the big three"

Hi guys looking for advice I came accross this write up for installing the Wires for it. For those of you that have done it what gauge wire did you use and this write up says to use a fuse between the alternator and the battery terminal. What amp fuse did you use?

Thanks in advance.

You should use 0 awg wiring our stock wiring is 4 awg so you wouldn't want to be doing the same thing over again. As far as fuses, I have no idea.

..i'll have do do somthing similar on my 3rd gen..little easaier though, we have 6 or 8 ga wire factory, so I'll prolly use 2 ga, and only worry about the pos on alt-battery..i already have a million straps running off my neg terminal to chassis and a 2 ga strap running from batt ground to engine ground, and 3 straps from engine ground to other spots on the engine (one to alt mount and 1 to each of the sensors on the back of a VG)..you might trace your wires and see if you even have a fuse..i havent looked on the max really closely, but on my truck, there is no fuse..its a 10ga wire from the alt to the battery and a 6 ga from the battery to the starter..yay for late 70s chevys when it comes to simplicity..
