4th Gens - OK to let Best Buy install XM in your Max?
4th Gens - OK to let Best Buy install XM in your Max?
i'm looking into adding on an XM unit in my Max, I was looking at one at Best Buy the other day and it seemed like something I would like to have in my Max since I listen to the radio a whole lot, all kinds of music (except country & stuff that puts me to sleep - no offense to anyone), and a few of the radio stations here in metro Detroit tend to overplay songs, so I was wondering if any of you 4th gen owners have had the XM unit installed not only on your Max's but at Best Buy, and do you trust thier work?
yes. install it yourself. it's easy.
on another note, to all the best buy haters... i'm the install supervisor at a best buy, and my shop has not had a damaged vehicle in over 2 years - and that's when i started. i fired everybody and hired all new people and trained them myself. it's different anywhere you go.

I am doing all the install work in my 97 GXE myself but my last car (business lease) i had a few audio installs done at best buy in san diego and the work was excellent - I was truly impressed. It does differ store to store, I'd assume.
