Hey, does anyone know the impedence of the stock speakers on a 99 maxima without Bose?

is there anything i should know before installing an alpine deck?

the guy at the store said if not done properly, i could fry the deck and the speakers...i dunno if he was just trying to scare me into getting him to install it or not.
