Thinking about upgrading the factory red LED to one of these
Anyone do this yet, and could it be ran from a spot in the fuse box?

you're going to have to tap that red wire into constant power, ground the black wire, and hook up the yellow wire to ignition. the red wire will see 12 volts all the time, and the black wire will see ground all the time. when the yellow wire sees 12 volts (when your ignition is on), it will turn off the scanner. when you turn your car off, the yellow wire will see ground, and activate the scanner. if you have an aftermarket alarm in your car, you hook the red wire up to 12 volts constant, and hook up the black wire to the "ground when armed" output on your alarm.
