my new toy

finally got my hands on that MK1 . end up paying 250 for it and the guy gave me the box as well. the box isn't in the best shape, so i gotta make/get a new one soon. can't wait til i get it all hooked up here's some pics:

how much power will it receive and what size/type of box is it?

the box is sealed, about 1.75 cu ft. it's going to be powered by my current RF Power 451s amp. i'll just bridge the amp to push about 450 watts into 1 channel.

Well if it has the grey wires on it instead of the typical tinsel wire then it might have an issue. But from the photo it looks like it might be OK.

Great sub. I've got 2 of those babies and love them. Go ported and you will be amazed.

yeah, it has the grey wires on it. hope the slap isn't noticeable.

f*ck me the sub doesn't work!!! hooked it up and nothing. no cone movement or anything. double checked the wiring but it's all correct. so i used my voltmeter to check the resistance of each voice coil. voice coil 1 measured about 1.9 to 2.0 ohms, which is normal. the other voice coil didn't give a reading. so i have one dead voice coil. that would explain why it wouldn't even move. fortunately the guy is willing to give my money back. this sucks, think i'll just fork over little more cash and get the Mark II instead.
