bose question

so ive never dealt with bose before but one of my friends with an i30, her bose head unit crapped out on her over the weekend. Says there is a cd error with any cd that goes in.

Now sicne there are individual amps on the speakers what would i need to do in order to put in a new headunit, can i just disconnect the amps and run the speakers like any other off the headunit or i remember seeing some sort of part that blocks the power going from a headunit to the bose or something.

lol im confused as hell so any help would be great.

You can just splice in male RCA leads to the factory speaker wire (at the HU) and plug them into your aftermarket HU. Works like a charm Everytime. There is Absolutely No Need at all for Any adaptors.
