Can anyone recommend a good remote starter?

I am looking for just a good remote starter for an automatic. I just need the remote start capability, and not the alarm, keyless entry, yada yada yada....just the remote starting function.

Can anyone recommend one they know is of good quaility and also,

Is it easy to install, that is does it come with enough detailed instructions for someone to grind through it?...does one need a factory service manual to do it?

After doing some searching on the web, I found a few remote car starters for manual transmissions:

www.designtech-intl.com - 20222 - AutoCommand® Add-on Remote Starter for Manual Transmission Vehicles

www.bypasskit.com - selling a DirectStart CS124 Car Starter

What is the price for a basic Viper remote car starter?

you may want to do in-depth research before buying cheap remote starter. alarm such as bull dog is known to have relay problems.

Hey I am currently selling a great remote starter. Brand new and it's perfect for manual transmissions.

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=334224

It's a very popular brand (Compustar made by Firetech) that uses a unique paging technology called Spread Spectrumthat goes up to 6000ft(1.25 miles). I currently have the alarm/starter combo and it's great. Works in times square in one shot from 5 avenues away. If you're looking for a great range starter that works in a 5-spd transmission, this is the way to go.

Go with crimestopper remote starter. They're cheap and reliable. You can pick one up on ebay for around 60 bucks shipped.
