I have 2 questions.

1. Does best buy sell components worth buying. I know they carry rockford and pioneer but are they good quality or should I buy something different.

2. I have a 5th gen max and I wanted to replace all the speakers. The 2 in the front doors 2 in the rear doors with 6.5's (havent decided what kind yet)and the 2 tweets. Can I use a 4 channel amp to run these six speakers or is that possible. and how would I hook them up. Examples would be great.

1. I'm a fan of Pioneer decks. The deck in my '95 Max came out of my old Dodge. It's eleven years old and works just fine. As for Pioneer and RF amps and subs. The quality is good but better can be had for the same price and sometimes less. You just have to be willing to look beyond the brand names and trust the recommendations of complete strangers here.
2. Yes, a 4 channel amp will push 6 speakers. The front component speakers will have a passive crossover to direct the correct frequency range to the correct speaker (woofer or tweeter).

Excellent answer Robert. A 4 channel amp is recommended when running components. Pioneer and Rockford make nice stuff, but it's not the best.

I'll agree with the rest. Personally, i would go with Pioneer speakers before Rockford speakers. Any combination should give you something decent though. Good luck.

I love my pioneer head unit and infinity speakers. Have it all amped. As long as they are good quality you should be very pleased. It seems every company makes one componet the best. Its all about getting that synergy down. And its different for everyone's ears.

Yeah I was thinkin about the kenwoods too but I didnt know if they where any good any more. I know back in the day everybody was runnin kenwood Hi's and the sounded real good. I dont know the quality of them these days. I am stumped. I don't know what to get. I want something that sounds really good but I don't wanna spend no more than $150-200 for a set. Then I gotta buy an amp. So if anybody has any ideas keep them comin.

Hey dude, I put 6.5 all the way around, and if you use the factory wires up in the front it automaticly patch power to the tweeters. no need 6 channel.
