Removing the Bose from my 1999

i purchased a new head unit, Alpine IVA-C800 for my car and wanted to install it. my car has bose and i am going to replace all the speakers with JL audio components upfront and jl audio 3way 6.5 in the rear. My question is since i am replacing the entire factory bose system. do i need t run new wires from the front to the back and so forth or can i just buy one of those harnessed that let me plug into the factory wiring. any information would be greatly appreciated. Also how had is the removal and insallation of everything.?

the removal of the stock bose unit isnt hard at all to take out.

once you've pryed out the vents, from the cental console, its just a matter of take out screws from then, its all pretty straight forward when you see it.

If I may ask, why are you putting in a new unit, is your old bose unit fully funcational? if so I'll give you $65 shipped to take it off of your hands.? PM me or e-mail me.

Exactly what Im doing... just got a microvision 7" screen (going in where the bose is), and I have a pioneer DVH-P5000MP DVD/CD/MP3 player, and I'm saving for a Nav. head unit.

Hey Zack it's Tim, I had the black SE-L at the RI meet, let me know how your setup sounds. I'm looking to replace my Bose soon also, except with a microvision screen.
