Heads-up display

Hi everybody!

I just picked up a heads-up display from a Maxima at a junkyard. I'd like to try putting it in my car (not a Nissan), but I need a wiring diagram to hook it up. I didn't think to check what year the car was, but I'd probably recognize the dash in a picture to at least get the generation right. Can anybody help me with a schematic?

Thanks.

OK, maybe it was an Altima.

After doing some research online, I'm pretty sure it's from a 1st gen Altima. It was mounted in the top left corner of the dash, facing up. I'm hoping the 12 wires going to the driver board are just simple signals like speed pulse, turn signals, door ajar, etc. If I knew at least ground and power, I could probably figure out the rest of them. The display appears backwards due to the mirror inside the case.

I had this on my 89' Maxima. But my car did have a special finish on the windshield where the information was displayed; I am not sure how you are going to recreate that so that the image will show up clearly on the windshield.

I think its called....a mirror?

Isn't that what most of them have on the windshield? It's like a thin piece of reflective film with a sticky adhesive backing.

Ummmmm NO... It wasnt a reflective film just stuck onto the windsheild, it was actually built into the glass.. Plus it was quite transparent..
