bose stereos blow

yo guys long time no post...i havent been modding for a while cause im waiting for my car to get paid off....and ive become a traitor sadly....bought an 88 crx si...i kno i kno...

but now to my question...i still use my max as a daily driver but of course like many of u i keep getting my head unit replaced...im on the second one which is one too many...ok..so the reason y i got the first one replaced was bc the left speaker cuts out....new one put in....cd player now skips like crazy...and the left speaker is starting to cut out again...ive learned to live wit it (ive found a special spot that i hit and it goes back on )...ok so now since the cd player skips uncontrollably i decided to give it another "fonzerelli tap" on the face...i didnt hit it hard at all too...nothing cracked...i didnt even hear a sound...so now nothing is visible on the head unit screen but i can still play cds....is there something i can do? i dont want to take it anywhere near a dealer cause they are dheads and my warranty is up...thx

Check out this site. They seem to fix, and purchase used Bose equipment from Maxes. http://www.carstereohelp.com/stereor...NisMax3Str.htm

Id say, screw it. and invest in a after market head unit. My Bose was a peice as well. They are notorious for being terrible.
