Cant get Radio Stations...Ideas?

I hooked up my new pioneer dvh-5000mp about a week ago and everything works fine. Except when I was installing it, I didnt have and adapter for my antenna, so I decided that I'd just wait to get it and put it on later. So yesterday, I did just that, and I still am not getting any stations. Any Ideas what you think it could be??
I also noticed that my antenna doesnt go up or down when the radio is on or off....

You need to connect the power antenna lead on the harness.

I'm thinking that maybe I bought the wrong Antenna Adapter..Can someone give me a link to which one I need. I was reading that some nissan cars have a 2 antenna system. I have a 1997 Infiniti i30. I had bought an adapter that just turns the 2 prong into one. Is there a difference that I have a bose radio, or can I use the same as a regular nissan gxe adapter.
thanks in advance!!

The adaptor part is irrevelant. If you dont power the lead it will not raise.

If the antenna doesnt go up, you wont receive any stations. In alot of radios, you wont hear static if there isnt a signal. This is to avoid "noise" unless you turn it up quite a bit, it is normal to not even hear static.

I took it to an audio shop and he said that the tuner in the radio is fried...Ive been through a lot with this radio. I think Im gonna trash it and get another...He put the power antenna on a switch and still, the radio gave no output....I think its time to look for another
