hey guys I need your help. I was thinking on runnin a neon light to my subbox and i decided to use the power source from the light in the trunk. I took it out and cut the two wires but now none of the light in the car will work. I mean the dome lights and the overhead lights. Anyone have any clue on fixing this?

 

check your fuses

 

u popped a fuse. check it and ur good, u probly crossed the wires when u cut them or they touched at one point

 

Thanks guy you are correct. But i still want to hook up the neon to the wires and every time i do it the fuse goes. How do i fix this like can i use a higher fuse

 

are you making it so the neon comes on when the trunk opens? i would just run a switch to it since your keep blowing fuses

 

you either shorted a wire, or the light is drawing too much power which i doubt is the case.

 

if thats giving u problems then either run a wire from the cig lighter to the trunk and put a ground out switch on it to turn on when the trunk opens, or make sure u arnt reversing any polarity with that light
