Dvd

I got a pioneer dvh-p7000, and I didn't know that there would be a setting that I can't watch DVDs while I'm driving. Is there anything I could do to not have the reciever do it? I want to enjoy my video clips while I'm in havy traffic which is mainly why I bought this DVD. Please help me out here.

If you ground it properly, you'll be fine.

look i'll explain how this works, ok?

when the parking brake is engaged you get to view dvd's, correct? when you engage the parking brake (assuming that this unit is hooked up correctly), the unit sees "ground". so if you ground this wire, the unit thinks that the parking brake is always engaged and therefore allows you to view dvd's. there is no distortion or noise involved because this wire is only used as a switch for an internal relay. (this is a rather simplified answer so please no need to get all technical on my *** and flame, i just wanted to let him in on the "why does this work" aspect)

hey how much did u spend on your H/U??...I recently boght a pioneer 5000mp and due to an improper install it doesnt work properly. The ouputs are fried and I cant get any radio stations either. SO basically I just use a 4 channel amp to get sound. It works fine as far as playin dvd's mp3's, and cd's; but no radio. So, I figure I should just buy another and take the loss. I wish there was a place i could send it to get fixed...

Try to sell it on ebay for cheap, better get some money then nothing at all. For me personally radio is nothing, I listened to it maybe once in the past 2 years. I have too many CDs.
My HU was $400 shipped from ebay from a good seller. He used it for a couple of months. It looks brand new, came with everything and even more, the only thing I don't have is the original box which I don't need anyway.
