Hey everyone, I have a whole system lined up and all I need now is a good head unit.. I would love to get one w/ a tv screen and to have a dvd player etc. A cd player is a must of course. Anyone have any idea's of which dvd/cd/tv combos are good, and where I can find them, prices, etc. and if i'd be better off to go w/ a tv/cd and then get a PS2 for the ps1, 2, and dvd player... please get back to me

Check out my thread "Maxima.org members looking for car audio". I work for a car audio dealer here in San Diego, Calif called Tweeter, I can hook you up on all the gear you want. For your tv look at the Kenwood KVT910DVD. 6.5" monitor in dash cd/dvd/tv tuner (local tv broadcasts) touch screen and all the goodies. Kenwood is backordered on this item. It is the hotest monitor in the market. Dealers cannot keep enough in stock. Check it out at kenwood-usa.com. It lists for $2399.99.

maximadave: have you seen the kenwood kvt910dvd up close? how does it look and how much do you sell it for at your store? i'm also thinking of getting a tv/dvd headunit for my max and would appreciate any info you have. so far i have these headunits lined up but i can never find a dealer who has them installed in the showroom:

kenwood kvt-910dvd
Pioneer AVX-P7300DVD
Panasonic CY-VMD9000U

the pioneer and panasonic ones are nice because they are 7" as compared to 6.5" for the kenwood. but the kenwood has a touchscreen display and has everything built in all in one package, tv/tv tuner/am-fm receiver where the pioneer and panasonic have to be purchased separately. but i also like the fact that the pioneer has a detachable faceplate. if you have any further info or sites/magazines that do a side by side comparison, i would appreciate it.

I hate touchscreens, too tough to keep them clean, and I'm a bit **** about that.

I like the Panasonic unit the best, in fact I almost bought one but decided I didn't want video again.

The ones I carry are: Kenwood KVT910DVD, Alpine CVA1003, CVA1005, CVA1006 & IVAC800, Panasonics, Eclipse 7002, Kenwood P907. I have the Eclipse 7002 It's gotta be the best picture in the industry. I know it's only a 5.8" screen and no in dash cd but it's clean. Eclipse also has a slave 6 disc in dash cd changer and a 8 disc trunk mount changer (which I have). What major Car Stereo shop are out there where you live? I'm actually on vacation right now trying to recoup from a hard weekend over in Las Vegas, so I don't have access to my computer at work for pricing. I go back this Saturday and I'll reply to pricing then. Check out my homepage for a listing of my car audio system.
