Component Sets for the 4th Gens

I have searched thru a few pages of this forum and haven't really found specifics on what component sets fit a 4th Gen that was equipped with Bose. I would like inputs from everyone. Which sets fit the best w/o the need to fabricate custom spacers including best overall performance and power handling, and price.

Thanks guys!

Arc Kar series would be great for you- sound great and not expensive- Conrad283 has'm in his 4th gen- silk tweet is very smooth and piles on the volume very nicely, mids are as solid as aluminum cone can be- I'm doing my Pathfinder with them very soon
Of course thats just a recommendation....

But just about any component set will work for your vehicle......you have to build or buy the spacers/mounts because our cars OEM speakers are integrated into the OEM spacer itself- one pice

Can you provide some more information about these mounts/spacers? Where do you get them from and are they needed when replacing both front and back speakers.

I've read a lot about kappas but they are not listed on Crutchfield's site. Are they still made?

edit - I now see that they are listed, but Crutchfield says they do not fit. Which size will fit the front of my 97 w/ Bose?

I got the Kappa Perfects 6.5 and my car had the bose system. At first, looking at the huge magnet of the Kappa's I was afraid that it wouldn't fit. But it did. The speaker fit perfectly on the Bose baffle where the stock bose speakers were formerly mounted on. And the door panels came back on w/o any clearance problems around the grill area. All you have to do is unscrew the old bose speakers, undo the wiring harness that connects the bose speaker to the amp, and slip in the Infinities. You can even use the screws that held the bose speakers in place. As for the rears, the reference series 6.5 fits perfectly. Speaker depth is not an issue at all.

How about the tweeters? Are they perfect fits as well? Can I still use the stock cover?

I forgot to mention about the tweets. The stock tweeters have the mounting brackets built in. So when you remove the tweeters, the brackets come out too. All I did with mine was use a very strong tape, ie: masking tape and taped it on the A pillar trim. When you put it back on the car, the tweeter will sit in there snug.

Crystal Components the 6.5 inch are great for it they pretty much just bolt right in to the bose plastic shroud thing. check my webpage to see what I did with the tweeter but I love these things.

I am running Kicker Resolution RS6c's right now. They sound decent, but lack midbass.

I am also running a Kicker ZX460. I have it wired for a 2ohm load for the front components and 4ohm for the rears. Here is a picture of my 8 year old ZX in my trunk. I have truly got my money's worth out of this thing .

Anyone know anything about Infinity amps? I am going to have Infinity speakers front and back and was wondering how their amps were. Is 100x4 good enough to power Kappa Perfects up front and References in the rear?

Do you have the one that is all black? When Kicker first came out with this line (ZR, ZX, & XS) they were silver and black, they later went with the all black ones.

I am not familiar with their amplifiers, but I would think that 100 watts is plenty of power to run those speakers with.
