Bose system info?
Bose system info?
Does anyone know the answer to the following questions?:
(for 2004 Maxima SE bose upgraded system no nav)
1) Do the front speakers have the amps right on them?
If so, where does the line level that feeds them come from...directly from
the HU, or from the amp in the back?
2) I have been told that there is about one inch of clearance between the
front speaker and the grill....so it would be possible to mount speakers
with greater depth than the bose speakers by using spacers. Is this true?
Any info would be appreciated. I already have a Pac OEM-NIS2 installed and am feeding an Infinity Basslink sub in the trunk, but would like to use my PPI amp to power new components in the front.

I am not exactly sure about the 04 model- but you can take a look in the trunk. My bose amp is in the back passenger side of the rear deck if my memory serves me right. You should be able to see it. I would highly doubt that there would be more than one amp and almost positive that they wouldn't run seperate amps for each speaker.
