I saw few 5th gen owners who had the double din touch screen and used GXE center console.

Anyone w/ flipout unit and using navi system? Wanted to know if I needed a GXE center console for it as well.

 

No its not needed.

So you are saying both of the units will fit top of the other? I just heard that navi unit doesn't have the correct mounting screwholes to be mounted under the main unit.

 

If your putting Both the flip part as well as the Nav unit in the dash, then Yes the GXE dash would look better, but still not "Needed". Alot of times the Nav unit itself is mounted elsewhere as it isnt needed on a daily basis.

Ok so you can just insert the nav cd on nav unit, just put it somewhere and then just activate nav from the main unit when needed?
