Remote Turn on Wire with 2 amps...

I have an amp right now powering my subs. I want to add a second amplifier for speakers. My question is can i just jam the second remote turn on wire with the one from the first amp? Will the head unit be able to handle that?

You will most likely be fine like nismo said, but if you add more components such as a cap or other accessories (neons, etc.) It is recommended to use a relay to switch 12v to the remote leads on everything.

Ive got two amps running on a split REM wire from the head unit and it works fine. Some people suggest putting a .5amp fuse on the REM wire to protect the head unit but I didn't and haven't had any problems.

thats the way to do it. Just daisy chain the amps with the remote wire.
