could i use cotton instead of polyfill?

could i use cotton instead of polyfill?

i have a sealed 1.0 cubic foot box with a single 12inch. i just wanted to know if i could use cotton instead of polyfill. would it be the same? and would it affect the voice coils? thanks

Use either Dacron poly-fill (pillow stuffing) or R19 fiberglass insulation. Cotton doesn't work as well.

Like MaximaDan said. Use either the polyfill or the fiberglass, although the polyfill is def less itchy Cotton will absorb half of the sound making it quite possibly worse...

and how much should i use, i checked the website, and it only had stats for a 1.4 cubed box.
