what does polyfil do ?

what does polyfil do ?

I have heard of people stuffing thier sub boxes with polyfil, what is its purpose?

Polyfil will make your box sound like it has more volume (space, not decibles). That's great for small sealed subs but stuffing a ported sub can throw off the tuning.

Yeah like said above, the polyfill tricks your sub in thinking it's in a bigger enclosure. It helps slow down the sound waves inside the box.
