DVD is buit-in. Installation was about $120-$140 w/sirius tuner and antenna.

btw. finger prints are not that visible in reality.

Very sweet unit. Was there any trimming needed for it to fit so good? Looks great

no trimming, direct fit. the only thing is that there is some extra space left on top as u can see, but it looks nice anyway.

also....the speakers are bose and they sound better with this unit.

no. it's not detachable. it does have security code that u can input and if power is interupted u will not be able to use the unit without the code.(that red triangle light on the pictures is flashing when the car is off)

the Siruis is great. NO more FM for me ! i even disconnected the antenna so that it doesn't go up anymore.

i think so.

i enjoy better sound output to bose speakers, the sirius radio, and it looks good.
although, the dvd is pretty much useless.
i just couldn't think of anyother unit that would look kinda stock. so basically, i just got this for the looks.

ps. u also have options to add TV tuner($100-150), Navi($500-700), maybe Satallite TV tuner later on.

the only negative side of this head unit is that i drive my car more often now, take it to long trips, etc. none of my friends, including me, want to take their borring cars.

i am officially jealous

the previous generation Kenwood, minus DVD.

isn't it supposed to stick out a little bit so the flipdown front has room to operate?

doesnt flipdown-- slides down with the motor at the bottom pushing the bottom out (right?)

flip, slide, you know whut i mean...doesn't it need just a tiny bit of room for the front to slide out & down? seems like if it was flush-mounted, it could scrape the bottom of the face every time you open it.
