I installed one in a corvette over the summer. It sounds incredible for SQ systems. I never heard one ported, the one I installed was in a sealed box. It is very well built and engineered very nicely.

10" or 12"...what amp and H/U?...considering one Type X 12" over a pair of 8" or 10"W7s, due to cost and flexibility...already have a ZR600 and can't push one W7 b/c of the stupid 3 ohm SVC or dual 1.5s in the 13"W7

i heard a alpine X at a car audio store and wasn't impressed with it at all. neither were the employees, they said they are no match for W7's. i know blah blah it can and will sound different in a vehicle but i wasn't impresesd at all.

Thanks for the links, they've been helpful, but I'm still curious about many things...to be addressed later, no time now. Keep the input coming, knowledge is one of the single greatest gifts one can give or receive, except maybe a bit of the oral .
