Which Speakers Are Best For Hip Hop Music?...need All 4.
I'm not an expert on this, so I'm asking for alot help. I popped all of my factories so I need some really great speakers to listen to my biggie and jay-z. I want some tight bass, doesn't have to be crazy since I'm getting a 10' sub installed in the trunk. But I want absolutely no distortion. Right now I have some Infinit 652.5i in mind at $150 a pair.. I also heard Pioneers are pretty good.
Money isn't an issue. So I'm just looking for 4 really good speakers that will last, give me decent bass with no distortion. Also give me some tips on amplifiers for the speakers and tweeters?...
thanks, and what's good w/ the black friday speaker sales????

From listening to the Infiniti line, I would say they are on the cleaner side and with not much bass. I’ve only heard of the CDTs when they were called Clif Designs and they were on the cleaner side too. Considering you plan on running only a 10” (hope it’s dual voice coil), you’ll probably want more bass up front; maybe you should take a listen to the Alpine series like the Type-R/S/X. As for amps, Hifonics and Rockford Fosgates were the ones to get for bass and PPI for clean sound (I’m old skool). My suggestion would be to look at the Phoenix Gold line of amps. Hope this helps and again this is just my opinion.

if you want good hip hop then get a good sub stage with some decent comps. amplify the comps to get the most out of them. i dont understand exactly what you want from your music? do you want all spl, all sq, both?

If your looking for something on the higher end with "absolutely no distortion" then plan to spend a whole lot more than $150ish range for speakers. You will also be investing ALOT into an amp, HU, as well as dampning....

If money is no object then you have CDTS, DIN AUDIO, and MB Quartz on the "high end", Alpines are pretty nice and so are Pioneers. One of the org members did ask you whether or not you ever intend to play anything other than hip hop? That kinda makes a difference in the kind of speaker you want. Since you are a 4th Gen, your best bet would be to go with components up front (w/separate tweets) and coaxials in the rear, plus a good H/U and like pearlmax said A Lot Of Dampening. I have 2 layers of dynamat extreme plus fatmat liquid and I will probably add a little more here this week cause I buying one of the biggest amps HIFUNICS makes.
