Post your PICS of aftermarket HU installed!!

Hey guys,

I've been going back and forth for a while about whether to go aftermarket with my HU and to just change the entire system, or to try to keep the stock HU (for the sleeper/smoother look) and to attempt to match a new amp and speakers adapt to the stock HU. I have the NON-Bose HU in my car.

So now I've realized that an aftermarket HU will over tons more options for adjusting the sound just the way I want it, plus mp3 playability, etc., etc. The only thing that still concerns me about it is the appearance. I feel that the Max is one of the cars that you don't want to change the HU in b/c it will screw with the overall look of the dashboard significantly..and for the worse.

So those of you who have an aftermarket HU, could you post some close-up pics of that area of your dash?

And which kit gives the smoothest/best look with an aftermarket HU? Should I get the GXE one from Nissan or the adjustable one that SoundDomain sells (or one of the other options)?

Thanks for any help,
Brian

*EDIT: Just so you all know, I'm going to be spending a maximum of $400ish on this thing, so no fold-out LCD TV's or anything. (Thx anyway.)

Hey, I know a good one when I see it. My only complaint about it is that the blue screen is real bright at night. I think you have a higher model than me.

The trim has now been replaced with a painted GXE kit thanks to vqman (which I broke a tab too ).

Yeah, that double-DIN Kenwood LCD thing is really nice, wish I could afford it, but I only wanna spend like $400 on the HU. Oh well.
