this months Car Audio and Electronics just printed an article that shows a true 5.1 surround sound in a 99 gle. the article shows removal of the radio tray and remolding a section that supprots the ac controls on the bottom, and a Kenwood 7 inch screen above. a speaker was molded into the ac air vents in the place of the hazards, clock, and defroster. just letting you all know.

that was a pretty cool article. read the whole thing....creative, and it came out REAL nice. and kept all controls while keeping it neat and classy.

 

i dont have a scanner maybe i can work sumthin out.. you could also try finding the digital article on their website..

I have that same article opened up right next to me, magazine just came in the mail today. I am going to read it after I log off. It looks very nice.

 

personally i like the custom mold ac and speaker but i dont like the hazard and defroster. they jhust dont belong there..
