Same as 2001.

Use a DEI 556U. Its a bypass module for the chip in the key.

Starter: black/yellow or black/white, (+), ignition harness
Second Starter: green/black or red/blue, (+), ignition harness
Ignition: black/white or black/red, (+), ignition harness
Accessory: red/yellow or red, (+), ignition harness
Second Accessory: blue or white/blue, (+), ignition harness
Power Lock: light green/red, (-), in drivers door at switch
Power Unlock: green/yellow, (-), in drivers door at switch, requires double pulse
Lock Motor: brown/white, in drivers door at switch
Unlock Motor: brown, in drivers door at switch
Parking Lights: red/green, (+), steering column
Door Trigger: red/white, (-), low in drivers kick
Trunk Pin: purple/yellow, (-), drivers kick or BCM, BCM is located just below radio
Hood Pin: yellow/black, (-), BCM located just below radio
Trunk Release: purple/yellow, (-), low drivers kick
Factory Alarm Arm: arms with lock
Factory Alarm Disarm: arms with unlock
Tachometer: white/green, ac, at ECM. The ECM is located in the front of the center console on the transmission hump. The wiring is easily reached by removing the small black panel just to the front of the center console on the passenger side. the wire is in the middle row, 7th one in from the left.

What about 93 Dome lights? Or do you use the Or/Bk from the door trigger? Also do we need a relay for the trunk pop? My alarm says I need a one unless I have a negatively triggered relay less than 250mA, so can I attach that to the Gn/Bk from the kick panel module? Thanks!

TRINTRBO, test that gn/bk wire. If it rests at 12 volts, and gets ground when you push the trunk release button, then you can hook the gn/bk wire directly up to it, as this is a 'negatively triggered' trunk release. If it is a positive trigger, meaning that it rests at ground and gets 12 volts when you push the trunk release, then you will need a relay to switch the negative trunk release output from the alarm brain to a positive one.

Where would i get T-taps and how do you use them?
I only have a wired soldering iron, so using it with an extension cord would be PITA since i can only park my car so close to an outlet.

They sell them at walmart but only in sets of like 2-3 per package. stop by custom shops in your area and see if theyll sell you some because itll probably be cheaper.

Could this be used on my 2k2 rather than the DEI 556U? I bought my car used and it only came with one key, and the dealer wanted to charge me $130 for a new key. Could I use this?

On what year? Just go to an ignition coil if your talking about your 87.

4th gens its at the ECM, 5th gens its at the instrument cluster, and 6th gens just go to an ignition coil.

Its the middle harness (brown harness) pink/blue wire. Its behind instrument cluster.

I think its the last wire on the harness.

I'm trying to install a Compustar CM4200A on my '02 max and have a few questions. First what's the SECU and where's it at? Besides my CN1, antenna, alt/tach, what else absolutely needs to be hooked up? What do I need to get to bypass the chip in my key. Where is the drivers door module? This is my first time trying to install an auto starter and all I have to go by is the one sheet of wiring instructions sent to me with the starter. Maybe I'm in over my head, but I think I can do it with good instructions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
