5th gen NSS wire: Pin 44 at the ECU, IIRC-green/orange.

It can also be found under the intake...but you have to remove the intake (if stock) to get to the wiring, so I find this is easier.

Someone else can chime in for the 4th gen cuz I dont have any pics or cool **** like that. Pics here are courtesy of studman.

You missed the trunk pin, it was on page 1, as purple/yellow in pin 38 at SECU, which is located to the passenger side of the steering column.

But your right, I didn't see door trigger wiring, so here it is, for 00-01 at least:

Find lt. blue for the drivers door in pin 29, red/blue for the passenger front door in pin 40, and red/white for the rear doors in pin 28. Use all 3 wires and diode isolate each.

These diodes need to go with the stripe facing away from the brain.

I'm having a hard time understanding this. Where exactly are the 12V constant and 12V switched wires. I know how to perform the tap in, I'll just be damned if I can't figure out where they are on this car.

I'm not super familiar with the term "ignition harness" I'm a newbie at a lot of this stuff. If someone could just tell me where that is exactly so I can find it and look at it myself I'd appreciate it a ton.

factory alarm

hello everybody
i bought my maxima used love it. it did not come with the remotes for the doors. the problem that i am having is that my alarm now comes on and the only way to disable it is to disconnect one of the cables that goes to the positive battery terminal. the question that i have is this is there any way to disconnect the factory alarm and not use it any more. i have a 1994 maxima gxe shoc. i love the car but this is its only downfall.

any help you guys could give would be awsome
thanks

You don't need to. OE alarm is triggered by lock and unlock. Putting in an alarm will do lock/unlock therefore also disabling the OE 'alarm'.

here's some useful info for (at least) a 98, possibly all 4th gens. if anybody would like their rear defroster to activate with the push of a (few) button(s) when the car is remote started, the wire in the car is grn/red, negative polarity, located at the defroster switch.

then, grab a relay and wire it at follows: 85: fused 12v constant. 86: r. defroster/aux output from remote start brain. 87: grn/red from defroster switch in car. 30: chassis ground.

to activate it, just follow the directions from your remote start unit to activate whatever aux channel you used to trigger the switch.
