Surius for alpine?

Well i walk in to Curcuit City and they show me a Surius tuner for Apline. I ask them a couple of questions and they tell me that it will hook up to any Alpine head unit. I got a CDA-7995 (02-03 model I think). Do you guys think this will work because I really want Surius.

Thanks in advance.

Yes it will work!

The funny thing about it is Alpine doesn't have the XM converter out yet. You would think since they pushed XM the past several years that the XM converter would come out first. Kenwood already has both converters out.

According to crutchfield.com, it will only work on 2004 or up Alpine head unit.

Here is the tuner:

Read about it...
Alpine SIR-ALP1

I just purchased it with a new Alpine head unit from crutchfield.com. I got the CDA-9835.

I will be installing this weekend.

Yes please give some feedback. Also let me know if the screen is still readable with the glare. I have the CDA-9827 and the Sun's glare makes it difficult to read. I got mine in late '03. U think that sirius tuner will still work?
