All you gotta do is donate at least $20 to the org & you can search all you want (worth it). Not to mention you can customize your avatar & the info under your SN.

i've got my v1 and i just use the suction cups. doesnt look too nice, but too lazy to hardwire it anywhere. works like a charm though.

Mine is mounted as high up as possible to the right side of the rear view mirror. By this I mean the right side of where the mirror attaches to the windshield. I have the remote display in the 2nd din radio spot with a custom piece that surrounds the remote display.

And no the tint will not detract from radar sensetivity. It will detract a very small amount from laser sensetivity, but it's not a ton. I got this information from Valentine Research.

I live right by the Queens/Nassau Border. If you're around there, we can meet up and I'll show you how I hardwired mine.

or check it out on www.freestyleconcepts.com/v1.html

i would go as low as possible. V1 are very good at detecting radar(X,K and Ka)

But laser is the hardest, so lower you are the better laser detection performance.

At least this is what i did to my x50. I put it about 2-3 inches above the dashboard.
