i got 2 kenwoods 600w each and a 1500w rockford fosgate amp all hooked up to my stock bose system on my 00 max. i hear a tremendous amount of rattle. so i popped my trunk n i rattling coming form the speakers. but the thing is that these speakers still pump hard....Are the blown..is one only blown... or are they fine?

Sounds like your subs are bottoming out, turn down the gain a little. If your amp is equipped with a bass boost ****, turn it all the way down...it doesn't do any good on your subs. If your subs are blown, they wouldn't play at all nor would you get any woofer excursions. BTW, that's a heck of a lot of bass for your stock Nissan Bose. Do you still hear your mids and highs or are you like those guys that like to her the bass thumps and panel rattles more than your music?

my panels and stuff rattles regardless

but yeah, try what 2DaMax suggested. Seems like you're pushing your sub to it's limit.

i figured it out today actully...i pushed the edge of my right sub and it had a lil play so i went to screw it in and the screw broke off...im guessing it wasnt full screwed inn ...anyway the rattleing was the sub pounding and hitting the box due to the extra play...i put a little piece of a sock in between my sub and the box..sounds stupid but its cheap and got rid of the problem..as far as sound goes..i love heavy bass but if i keep the base on +1 (instead of +6) iam able to put it louder with clarity and loudness coming from the bose along with a nice thump from the trunk
