For those that have installed their system and broke the cherry in their ride...

...did you get everything back together the way it was originally?

I am going to run the poewr and rca cable pretty soon for my amps, but I still have those sticker thingies on the carpet. I have the stock stereo still, and will be installing the first aftermarket stereo on my max in the coming weeks.

my question is, when you guys ran your wire underneath the carpet, was it a pain in the *** to install the carpet back to where it was?

I aint looking forward to this...

Yes. Just take your time. It's not the easiest work. In other words it can be very time consuming, but it's worth it! Here are my "before and after" pics!!! As you can see from the 3rd pic, everything went back together nicely.

Hmm yeah in the 90 Maxima I just ordered all the stuff and then with some help from the org and a haynes manual manage to tear everything out. Was quite a site for my parents to see like all the seats, plastic etc out of the car. I actually found the 90 maxima easier then the 96 becuase everything was bolted in instead of like clips so I didnt have to worry about breaking stuff. On the 96 it was just unnerving when I did it becuase you just like rip stuff out and I always worry about breaking crap. (Ie the vents, middle pillars etc.)

dont complain about pulling the carpet back, i pulled my ENTIRE carpet out of the car and replaced the ENTIRE interior of my car. Although i changed the color of the interior it was not that hard to pull the carpet at all. The hardest part is the front behind the shifter.

I believe I purchased them from thezeb.com. Like PearlMax said, Qlogic makes them so can buy them from an abundance of places.

Check out their application chart @ www.qlogic.ws

I think they may fit other models than what they show on thier list, just need to call them. The Zeb has them and so does Cruthfield, I think.

You don't have to run the wire underneath the carpet. You can run the wires underneath the kickpanels and run them all the way back that way.

Why would they do that? The doors are big enough as it is...

Just a few things to watch out for. When prying off the panels, be careful, the edges where initially you try to get leverage on to pull out bend easily. Second, make sure your hands are always clean. I made the mistake of working on my car in the dark and could not see how dirty my hands were until I see all of these finger prints on my upholstery
