pioneer error 11

pioneer error 11

had a kenwood 319 and traded it for a pioneer deh p8000r. yeah its an older model but sound quality is hell lot better than the kenwood. anyways i got it all hooked up but when i put a cd-r in, i get error 11. does anyone have a clue as to what the error means?

actually i get the error with a regular cd or cdr. anyone? anyone with a manual that knows the code?

i had this prob b4 with my 940

i have a pioneer. its not the same one as you but the errors are probably the same... in the manual it says error 11 could mean one of the following:

-dirty disc
-scratched disc
-electrical or mechanical

now im assuming they weren't dirty or scratched.. maybe you got a broken cd player?

wheres the reset button at? i didnt get a manual. im gonna keep it for awhile until i can get a new cd player. the kenwood did play cds but sound wise it was horrible.

haha took the face off and pushed on anything that looked like a button. there was a rubber thing pressed it and now its gone, just a hole and no rubber thingy there. oh wells gonna get a new pioneer. thanks for the help

no, the reset button should be on the front face
