Those of you w/ Eclipse HU, how did you fill the gap besides using the GLE dash kit?

The Metra kit is meant for one din, plus a pocket. Therefore, you use the trim ring that comes with the radio when you install it. If you have the GXE kit like I do, there will be a gap between the radio and the pocket, because the trim ring will not fit. You can either try and grind down the trim ring, or drill new holes in the brackets and mount the radio recessed in the dash, or out from the dash, so that you can use the trim ring. I havent found a good solution yet...but this happens with a ton of ISO-mounted radios, i.e. toyotas and nissans.

It's coming along just fine. Did you take your test yet? I should have brought all of my stuff when I came down few months ago.
