I have a JBL 1200.1 amp...how will 2 12" alpine type r's handle the power?
Any other recommendation on subs? I dont want anything too expensive...thanks

 

lets see type Rs i think are 300rms. so basically about half the pwer of the amp would be used if you ran it in parallel. is that the amps max or rms? if its 1200 max then you wont have to worry. it would power the typeR's nicely. those are nice subs btw

 

12in r's have a 300watt RMS 400 is safe but not reccomended. Im running 230 watts to each of mine and it sounds awsome though i think having that additional 140 watts would help. Whats the RMS range on that amp if its like 800 and below u wont have a problem but technically anything over 300 per channel voids your warrenty with alpine.
