Okay so I hate posting questions in forums w/o searching first but since the search is turned off right now this will have to do.

I just got a 2k Max SE and the CD player is scratching my cds. burnt or "the real thing" cds are becoming unusable b/c of this player.
I've gone out and bought a cd player cleaner but this doesn't help.
When I play the cd I can hear the disk click during the music play...
Other times it just skips.
Is there anything I can do w/o buying a new head unit?

 

The most likely cause is the CD loader mechanism. Make sure the area around the CD slot is clean. You might have some dirt on the micro-brushes on the front. If this doesn't help you're only choice is to get a new head unit or install an external CD changer.
