Radio sounds horrible

I have had my system for close to 1 1/2 years now, and while DVD's, CD/MP3, PS2 all sounds incredible, radio sounds horrible. I vaguely remember reading a thread quite a while back about the fact that if you change headunits, you run the possibility of going from 2 connections to 1 connection for the antenna. I am using the Pioneer Premier DEH-750MP. Is there anything aftermarket that I can buy that can fix this? Supposedly their Super Tuner III is supposed to enhance the radio quality....

The super tuner 3 is a marketing ploy. I have owned three pioneer h/u and the radio reception and quality has never been great. So I don't think that the "diversity" antenna adapter is to blame for the problems you have.

I can agree with you that it is a pretty poor marketing ploy, however, when I had my original head unit, my reception for radio was flawless...using the other antenna connection with my pioneer sounds horrible.

I have the solution to your radio problems and once corrected you will not have to worry about bad radio reception again. Unbolt all necessary dash pieces, unplug Pioneer and harness and throw that piece of sh*t pioneer away and replace with alpine/panasonic/etc.etc.
