i want to remove the headunit, so remove the panel below the ashtray (around the shift lever) first. to remove this panel, i have to shift it to "D" (as faq says). but the shift lever can't be moved if the engine is turned off. so how did you guys do this? thanks, and merry Christmas to all!

 

put it on acc... then put it in drive with the parking brake on.
