I finally got a digital cam for x-mas so i decided to take a pic of the certificate i got when i got metered. It was on the TL with my car turned off, trunk sealed off and in a sealed box. Equipment was a jbl 1200.1 and 2 12'' RE SExxx's. I also only got one run since I blew a fuse and didnt have an extra. Now that I have ported my trunk i'll have to get it metered again this time with my car running.

Was there anyone else there at that competition? Not to put down a win, but when I used to compete, I was doing 152.2 with 2 subs.

 

Mic was 12 inches up from the bottom of the windshield.

well you lose db's with the car off, he might have even played music. and plus i get the feeling they used the new TL mic which is much less sensitive than audiocontrols, etc.

 

No offense, but your old system would be closer to 142 on the new TL. 133 is a respectable score in a trunk car with two woofers getting 1200 watts in a sealed box.

Nice numbers. Have you ever thought about going ported. Possibly even a blowthrough design sealing off the trunk. Those SE are stout. They would be happier with a 1200 on each. But I think you know that.

Thanks! Ported has crossed my mind a few times but i need trunk space. Since competition isnt a thing for me I am going to stick with the box I have now. And yes i know they would love to each have a 1200.1 to them but thats in the future.
