DYNOMATT Please Help

Dyno-Matt Trunk
Has anyone done this? does it get rid of all rattles?.. I tried stuffin the towel in the back deck, and I tried putting a towel where the rear deck light is to stop it from hitting the window, but I still hear rattles.. Wondering if dynomatting is the way to go, or will I be wasting my money..

I installed it in the trunk of my 2002 Altima because i had the Stillen exhaust and I was getting some droneing in the cabin of the vehicle. I also had the sound deading sprayed in at Ziebart and I could not tell any difference so i would have to say that it is a waste of money.

Dynamat is a waste of money for the rear deck rattle.

what i did was i went to Home Depot and went into the air conditon insulation section and bought 2 packages of the foam that they have and then i stuffed the rear deck with it.

then i removed the rear brake light and they sell a skinny foam insulation tape. I wrapped it around the lite and pushed the lite back in

Dyno-matt is some expensive stuff. It's overkill for what you are trying to do. I can second the air conditioner foam insulation; it works well. The harder part is to find a sticky double sided tape that's really sticky. I have had no luck finding really good tape. Regardless, I have used this in several problematic areas in the car. Works good and it's cheap. ~$5-$10
