Steering wheel controls 2002

If you replace the stock radio in a 2002 with an after-market head unit, will the steering wheel controls still work?

Distressed...

This is distressing news, indeed. I had just about figured out that the steering wheel controls would no longer change the volume and stuff. But the trip computer, etc. will stop working, too?

hell yea, but there is a fix for that.......... I don't know it cause I never did it but its something simple as cutting a wire and grounding it (brown wire I think).. but people here can help with that.......

Preppy: What radio did you have installed? Maybe I can buy the same unit if that's what I need to do.

PM cobymoby - he sells the adaptor that is needed to retain your steering wheel controls after adding an aftermarket head unit. And YES - IT CAN BE DONE.
