4th gen amp ground?

It looks like I'm going to re-ground my amps tomorrow.. right now the ground cables are bolted to the metal thing that supports the back bench...

where is the best place for a ground?

good question, just make sure you strip any paint where you are going to ground it too.

I grounded mine to the big bolt that the lap belt bolts to underneath the rear seat (you have to remove the rear seat to access it). There's one on each side. It has worked perfectly and is hidden.

I'm going to have 2 amps, it's a bad idea to ground them both at the same place right?

It may not matter that much, but I'm going to get some of the stuff you can put on battery terminals (dielectric grease I think) that makes them not corrode to avoid rust where I strip the paint. May not even be a problem, but just a thought.

No, you should ground them at the same place if you can. Some people go so far as to ground all audio components (including the stuff in the dash) to the same grounding point in the car to avoid RFI. That's extreme, but if you can ground at the same place, do it. It might not make a difference, though. I never had any RFI in my 2 Maximas with 2 different systems.

you could also get a grounding block to make it easier too. Run the 2 wires from the amps to the grounding block, then the one wire from block to the ground point.

Yep, that's a good idea.

RFI is radio-frequency interference. It sounds like noise through the speakers.
