For those with a 4gen w/bose system

I just ordered a Kenwood head unit from Crutchfield. I bought the adapter because I'd like to keep my bose speakers for now. Anyways the guy told me that if in the future I want to replace my speakers I would have to replace all of the wires! I thought that I could just install the new speakers and remove the adapter, but no! Is this true?

this adapter is a good quick fix without the hassle. i had the same thing and when it was time to upgrade to new speakers and amps i just bypassed the wires, very simple because it tells you what all the wires are for on the harness. i wouldnt worry about later everything about the set up is very simple and easy to work with. plug play and enjoy.

no, you dont have to run new wires. at the bose amplifier plug there are a 12v+, a ground and two signal wires. You just tap into the signal wires and connect to new speakers.
